Lamisi’s latest album, Let Us Clap, is a bold tribute to the sisterhood of her homeland.

Lamisi’s latest album, Let Us Clap, is a bold tribute to the sisterhood of her homeland.

Deep in Northern Ghana, women and girls have long kept time with intricate handclaps and harmonised chants-an age-old folkloric tradition pulsing with polyrhythms and ancestral melodies.

This isn’t just music; it’s history, passed down through generations, raw and untouched.Fellow band member and album producer; Wanlov the Kubolor is well-known for' speaking the truth' on many political and contentious topics in Ghanaian culture.

His name translates from Ga as "vagabond" or "street wonderer".

He is a fearless activist for the rights of minorities, a voice for the voiceless and an ambassador for the LGBTQ community who faces severe backlash in Ghana. From leading The Patch Bay Band across Ghana to lighting up global stages, Lamisi’s voice carries more than just melodies; it carries purpose.

She’s on a mission to uplift young girls in Northern Ghana, where cultural traditions often sideline them in favour of their male counterparts.

In a region where education for girls is still a battle, she stands as a role model, using her platform to break cycles and build futures.Presented by Woodburner. This is an 18+ event
