Oskar Jones returns to the intimate setting of Next Door Records in quartet form with an array of fresh material, ripe for famished ears.Likened to the Esbjörn Svensson Trio, Oskar’s music simultaneously embraces space and groove, generating a sonic atmosphere that is active but not busy.

His compositions focus on the intentionality of expression, honesty, and authenticity through pellucid, lyrical melodies and fierce grooves that straddle through-composition and improvisation.Described by GSMD as “fresh, contemporary jazz talent” at his most recent performance at the 2025 EFG London Jazz Festival, Oskar Jones is a versatile, award-winning composer, saxophonist and pianist, and a first-class 2025 graduate of the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama’s Jazz Performance Masters, where he spent two years honing his saxophone and improvisational skills under the guidance of leading UK jazz musicians and composers Trish Clowes, Jean Toussaint, Iain Ballamy, and Mark Lockheart, among others, and for which he was a receiver of the 2024 Help Musicians Postgraduate Award. In 2025 he hosted sold out shows with his new quintet at Oxford House, Next Door Records, and the Chelsea Physic Garden, and was also one of ten musicians from London conservatoires selected to be part of the London Transport Museum’s “Transported by Culture” programme.Line-up:Tenor Saxophone - Oskar JonesDrums - Luke Brueck SeeleyPiano - Joseph GameBass - James Leaver-WhitfieldPresented by Next Door Records. This is a 16+ event
