This is an hilarious comedy set in 235AD. Formaggius Vastus and his family live in Rome towards the end of the Roman Empire. His wife, Agrippina, and their son and daughter, Gaius and Tottia together with their slave Demoania are no different from thousands of other Roman families. That is until the visit of Titus, a senator seeking re-election and help to elevate himself to be emperor after assassinating emperor Severus, the current incumbent Titus has chosen Formaggius to be the assassin because of his, mistaken, brilliant army record
This situation is bad enough, but gets infinitely worse when Formaggius discovers that Severus has learned of the plot and orders him to assassinate Titus not knowing that Formaggius had already been engaged by Titus to assassinate him. Formaggius also learns that when he has carried out the deed, whoever he kills first, the survivor intends to kill him It seems an impossible situation, how will he avoid becoming the victim, who should he kill first, will he get the chance to kill twice? Can he save his family from certain torture and death if he fails? This is pure high comedy with various sub plots and situation woven into a storyline, designed to amuse and entertain. It's a part of Roman history never told before . . .Not recommended for under 11yrs. (No under 4 years)
