Koosje / Fuglen Gamlebyen

Koosje is a singer-songwriter from the Netherlands. She emphasizes neo-soul, folk influences, r&b riffs as well as lush jazz harmonies and vocal freedom. She was only 11 years old when she started off with acting lessons and she participated in plays, operas and musicals when she was barely 14. She performed with artists like Steve Reich & Gwilym Simcock. She ended up at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague and graduated in 2016 receiving a 10 (with distinction) for her final singing exam. She went viral through Instagram feed @theyhavetherange, was the supporting act of Poppy Ajudha, Robin Thicke resposted her and Teddy Swims, Gregory Porter, Lalah Hathaway & David Crosby are fans and want(ed) to sing with her! She released her debut album in 2023 with 16 songs, currently she’s touring and working on a new album to be released in 2025.
